ScreenLogic2® Update Instructions

Latest Version: Build 5.2.733, posted 02/04/16

Follow the instructions below to update your ScreenLogic2® system

  • For all systems, first update the Protocol Adapter, as explained in Step 1
  • Once the Protocol Adapter is up to date, then perform the subsequent updates depending on the interfaces you have installed in your system

Step 1: Update your Protocol Adapter

NOTE: There is no need to update your adapter if it already has the latest firmware revision. The firmware version can be found on the label on the side of the protocol adapter. See image at right.

Download the Protocol Adapter update tool (available for PC and Mac)

If your browser shows an information bar, click and then select "Download file"When prompted, click Desktop to save the file on your desktop

  • Once the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file
  • Locate and select the protocol adapter in the list, then click Start
  • The update process will complete in a few minutes
  • If any errors occur during the update:
    • Close the update tool
    • Restart the update program
    • If a second attempt to update fails, then contact Pentair Technical Support for more information

  • Once the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file
  • Locate and select the protocol adapter in the list, then click Start
  • The update process will complete in a few minutes
  • If any errors occur during the update:
    • Close the update tool
    • Restart the update program
    • If a second attempt to update fails, then contact Pentair Technical Support for more information

Step 2: Update your Interface(s)

ScreenLogic Connect interface software for PC and Mac

  • Download ScreenLogic setup program for Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10
    • For PCs: Click Here to download the latest version.
    • If your browser shows an information bar, click and then select "Download file"
    • When prompted, click Desktop to save the file on your desktop
    • Before running the new installer, please uninstall your existing version of ScreenLogic Connect.

NOTE: For Windows users, there will be a new icon shortcut called "ScreenLogic Connect" on your desktop. The first time you run this program, RIGHT click on the icon and choose "Run as Administrator". This is only required the first time you run this application. You can subsequently start this program by double clicking on the "ScreenLogic Connect" icon.

  • Download ScreenLogic Connect for Mac Computers (Mac OS versions 10.8 and higher)
    • For Macs: Click Here to start the download
    • If your browser shows an information bar, click and then select "Download file"
    • When prompted, click Desktop to save the file on your desktop
  • Once the download is complete, Open the DMG file and drag it into the Applications folder.

8.4" DT880 Tablet Update

  • To update the tablet you must update three files stored on the device. The recommended method described here uses a USB flash drive to transfer the files. Access to the USB port on the tablet requires temporarily removing the device from the wall, but does not require disconnecting cables.

NOTE: Some USB flash drives are not compatible with the tablet. If you have trouble, try a different USB drive.

  • Download the zip file containing the updates for the tablet
    • Click Here to start the download
    • If your browser shows an information bar, click and then select "Download file"
    • When prompted, click Desktop to save the file on your desktop
  • Extract the three files (right-click the zip file, select Extract All)
  • Copy the files from the extracted folder to the USB flash drive
  • If ScreenLogic is running on the device, bring up the keyboard and type CTRL-Q to close
  • Carefully remove the bezel from the front, then remove the four screws that hold the device to the back-box
  • Pull the device out to access the USB port (next to the network cable)
  • Plug the USB flash drive into one of the USB ports
  • Double-click My Computer: if the USB drive is supported, you will see a Hard Disk folder
  • Double-click the Hard Disk folder to access the files on the USB drive
  • Select all three files, and then click Edit, Copy
  • Browse back to the FlashStorage2 folder, then click Edit, Paste
  • Once the files have been copied, close File Explorer
  • Remove the USB drive

7" Profile700 In-Wall Touch Screen Update (2011 and prior)

  • Please ensure that the protocol adapter has been updated before proceeding with these steps.
  • To update the In-Wall Touch Screen you must update three files stored on the device. The recommended method described here requires an active Ethernet connection to the Internet.
  • You will need to download 3 files, one at a time, to the NandFlash directory on the Profile 700 touch screen using the built-in Internet Explorer browser.
  • If ScreenLogic is running on the device, bring up the keyboard and type CTRL-Q to close. Close all other programs.
  • Launch Internet Explorer browser from the Desktop
    • Go to this URL into the browser for the 1st file and choose to save it to the NandFlash directory on the in-wall: CRYSTALPAD.exe
    • Go to this URL into the browser for the 2nd file and choose to save it to the NandFlash directory on the in-wall: HelveticaLTStd-BoldCond.ttf
    • Go to this URL into the browser for the 3rd file and choose to save it to the NandFlash directory on the in-wall: MINIPAD.exe
  • Choose to overwrite if prompted.
  • After the 3rd file has been downloaded, double tap on the MINIPAD.EXE file. This will launch the new ScreenLogic interface.

7" TS7 In-Wall Touch Screen Update (late 2011)

  • Please ensure that the protocol adapter has been updated before proceeding with these steps.
  • To update the In-Wall Touch Screen you must update three files stored on the device. The recommended method described here requires an active Ethernet connection to the Internet.
  • You will need to download 3 files, one at a time, to the NandFlash directory on the TS7 touch screen using the built-in Internet Explorer browser.
  • If ScreenLogic is running on the device, bring up the keyboard and type CTRL-Q to close. Close all other programs.
  • Launch Internet Explorer browser from the Desktop
    • Go to this URL into the browser for the 1st file and choose to save it to the NandFlash directory on the in-wall: CRYSTALPAD.exe
    • Go to this URL into the browser for the 2nd file and choose to save it to the NandFlash directory on the in-wall: HelveticaLTStd-BoldCond.ttf
    • Go to this URL into the browser for the 3rd file and choose to save it to the NandFlash directory on the in-wall: MINIPAD.exe
  • Choose to overwrite if prompted.
  • After the 3rd file has been downloaded, double tap on the MINIPAD.EXE file. This will launch the new ScreenLogic interface.

DT375 Wireless Tablet Update

  • To update the Wireless Tablet you must update three files stored on the device. The recommended method described here uses a USB flash drive to transfer the files. NOTE: Some USB flash drives are not compatible with the Wireless Tablet. If you have trouble, try a different USB drive.
  • Download the appropriate zip file containing the updates for your Wireless Tablet
    • Click Here to start the download
    • If your browser shows an information bar, click and then select "Download file"
    • When prompted, click Desktop to save the file on your desktop
  • Extract the three files (right-click the zip file, select Extract All)
  • Copy the files from the extracted folder to the USB flash drive
  • If ScreenLogic is running on the device, bring up the keyboard and type CTRL-Q to close
  • Plug the USB flash drive into the USB port on the tablet
  • Double-click My Computer: if the USB drive is supported, you will see a Hard Disk folder
  • Double-click the Hard Disk folder to access the files on the USB drive
  • Select all three files, and then click Edit, Copy
  • Browse back to the FlashStorage2 (DT366), the Internal Storage (DT375) or the IPSM (Kube) folder, and then click Edit, Paste
  • Once the files have been copied, close File Explorer
  • Remove the USB drive

DT360 and DT366 Wireless Tablets Update

  • To update the Wireless Tablet you must update three files stored on the device. The recommended method described here uses a USB flash drive to transfer the files.

NOTE: Some USB flash drives are not compatible with the Wireless Tablet. If you have trouble, try a different USB drive.

  • Download the appropriate zip file containing the updates for your Wireless Tablet
    • Click Here to start the download
    • If your browser shows an information bar, click and then select "Download file"
    • When prompted, click Desktop to save the file on your desktop
  • Extract the three files (right-click the zip file, select Extract All)
  • Copy the files from the extracted folder to the USB flash drive
  • If ScreenLogic is running on the device, bring up the keyboard and type CTRL-Q to close
  • Plug the USB flash drive into the USB port on the tablet
  • Double-click My Computer: if the USB drive is supported, you will see a Hard Disk folder
  • Double-click the Hard Disk folder to access the files on the USB drive
  • Select all three files, and then click Edit, Copy
  • Browse back to the FlashStorage2 (DT366), the Internal Storage (DT375) or the IPSM (Kube) folder, and then click Edit, Paste
  • Once the files have been copied, close File Explorer
  • Remove the USB drive

Step 3 - Compatibility Update for connecting to previous versions:

If you have a need for connecting to older systems with your newly installed copy of ScreenLogic Connect, you may have problems unless you run the compatibility update below.

This update will allow version 733 ScreenLogic Connect to work with protocol adapters still running version 724, 721, 713, or 635
